Chapter 352

  • Ashley stared at me for moment and then sighed, taking my hand to lead me off the bed. She led me through the large hospital, until we got to a room with a transparent glass door which automatically slid open as Ashley and I approached. She softly whispered. “It’s pretty bad, Leilani. Doctors say it’s a miracle he did not break his spine or legs. If he had, he would barely be able to move them again. He took most of the damage to his head and broke almost all his ribs. It’s very critical. And he has not regained consciousness ever since he was placed in the ICU for days now.”
  • I came to a stop when I saw him. On the hospital bed. At first glance, I was already crying, bitterly sobbing at what I had done to him. He was covered with the blue hospital sheets, tubes attached to his arms, neck and temples. A tube was connected to his mouth while another ran under his nostrils. There were cuts on his painfully handsome face, and a thick wad of white bandages was wrapped around his head, and around his spiky black hair.
  • There were so many different bags of fluids around him, all draining into some tubes which led to his veins. The heart monitor was beeping rhythmically, and it just hurt me to see him unconscious. Big, strong and massive. But on a hospital bed, battered, beautiful and broken. A fallen angel. I was too engrossed in staring sadly at him that I barely noticed that there were people in the room.
