• I stared at my phone on the edge of the bed idly thinking about what Ashley said while I was on the phone with her. Neil thought I had left him. I could imagine how upset he could be right now, but the last time I tried to have a conversation with him was the night before the beach event when he just said a couple of strange words and hung up on me.
