Chapter 278
- Their yells were guttural, as they began to hit their guns against the windows violently in a bid to break them into pieces. Cora was trembling, my palms were sweating and I was pissed as fuck at Freya for having the guts to try to send thugs to murder us. She could fucking go this far? And where the fuck were the police?
- “Oh my God. Oh my God.” Cora was muttering, shaking as she whispered a silent prayer into her palms. The glass of the car window closest to her caved in under the hits of the gun and I moved, pulling Cora out of the way, “Watch out!!” With a crash, the glass shattered into tiny pieces, spraying glass all over us.
- “That’s right bitch.” A thug spat and shoved his hand into the car through the shattered window to grab Cora’s dress, but she shrieked, “Let go of me! Let us go, please. We'll give you anything you want.” They were having none of that shit. In a few horrible moments, they had forced the doors open and were dragging Cora out when I tried to pull her back, but someone smacked the back of my head so hard with the butt of a gun, that I collapsed, nearly losing consciousness.
