  • I slowly uncurled from my seat, rising up to my full height so I towered over both him and Cora. I made it a point to not look at Dom, instead I lowered my dark, rumbling gaze to meet Cora’s worried ones. My fists were clenched to solid iron in my pockets, but my voice stayed empty. “I only came here to see you. Now that I know you’re fine, I’ll get going. There’s no need for lunch.”
