• Jonah’s POV (Younger Version):
• I grasped Kenneth’s palms in response to the deal he had just put forward to me. He held up a solemn, yet frightened expression that I might spill despite the handshake deal we had just made. He held me in his grip for some seconds, his eyes deeply into mine, searching for the slightest clue of sincerity and the breeze blowing his light, dark hair elegantly.
• I held up a reassuring expression, although Kenneth didn’t seem convinced by that. The grip he had on my palms decreased as the intensity of the gaze he held at me decreased. I needed to know how he knew about my grandmother, our grandmother to make it a complete secret I had to keep. I had to take that as a test to know how much I had learnt from Grandpa, but this secret seemed too much for a test secret.
