• Mike’s POV (Before Uncoupling):
• As Dandy and I began walking down the stairs to look for the guy as he had suggested, I began having a gnawing feeling. The flashes of the purple leave changing colour to green began aching within me. It didn’t come as an ordinary flashback that happened the previous day: it came with pain all over my body. I was drowsy the more I walked and my legs felt limp the longer I trekked to the spot to find the mystery man.
• Dandy was concerned about what was going on with me and held me upright to avoid any further breakdown. I fell into his arms as though I were a woman falling into the arms of her Alpha. His eyes were deep into mine: perplexity and fear were on the outermost layer of his eyes. I was also on the verge of falling out of balance.
