Chapter 28 When I Misused My Powers Something Went Wrong

• Everybody knew that I was reluctant to tell the investigating officer anything. That wasn’t because I wanted to obey my brothers’ order, but because the predictions of Helen were coming to pass. The investigating officer had started to sound ridiculous in my ears, which made me give her a little bit of a hint of who I was. I was just willing to spill that Bianca was my sister, nothing more. I was quite agitated by her continuously asking me senseless questions.
• There was a time she asked me if I was using superstition and I gave her no reply. I tried to examine her face for the first time and could tell that something was happening with her. There was no reason to say to my brothers either; they might not understand. When she finished her portrayal of the absurd character, I left the room without hesitation.
