After some hesitation, the doctor finally nodded. “That’s right, Mrs. Davis. It’s true that you’ve had a miscarriage. However…” The doctor paused for a long moment before continuing. “Mr. Davis told us not to inform you of this because he was afraid that you would get too sad.”
