Chapter 483 Wrong Medication
- Marilyn found no way to reject Jocelyn when she saw the determination in Jocelyn’s eyes. In the end, Marilyn simply nodded her head. “Okay. I’ll go get the doctor.” Marilyn decided that she couldn’t allow Jocelyn to find out about the fact that she had been aware of Jocelyn’s miscarriage all along, for she knew that Jocelyn would never let her hear the end of it if that happened.
- The doctor arrived ten minutes later, and Jocelyn described her concerns before questioning the doctor about her condition. The doctor eyed Marilyn for a moment before turning back to Jocelyn. After some hesitation, the doctor finally nodded. “That’s right, Mrs. Davis. It’s true that you’ve had a miscarriage. However…” The doctor paused for a long moment before continuing. “Mr. Davis told us not to inform you of this because he was afraid that you would get too sad.”
- Jocelyn wasn’t surprised—she had expected Sebastian to think that way. But why does he have to protect me from feeling sad? I’d rather feel sad than be deprived of my right to know the truth. She felt anger building up in her chest as she thought about it. However, the anger didn’t last as she understood that Sebastian had only made the choice for her own good.
