Chapter 329 Signing the Contract
- As Sebastian’s Adam’s apple bobbed, he attempted to say something. However, Jocelyn didn’t give him any chance as she stepped out of the house and closed the door with a loud slam. Just like this, they were separated by a door. Rooted to the spot, Sebastian gazed at the closed door as his heart sank. It was then he realized how excruciatingly painful it could be for two people to be forced to part ways even though they were in love with each other.
- Compared to Sebastian, Jocelyn appeared to be calmer. After tucking her hair behind her ear, she muttered, “Goodbye, Sebastian.” Then, she shuffled toward the elevator. When the elevator was ready, she stepped into it and pressed the button to the first floor. Following that, she left the residential area and hailed a cab before telling the driver the hospital’s address.
- 30 minutes later, the cab arrived at the hospital, whereupon Jocelyn paid the driver and returned to her ward. Pennie had been waiting inside the ward when Jocelyn ambled into it. When Pennie saw that Jocelyn couldn’t even walk properly, she immediately understood what the latter had gone through. Suppressing her gossipy nature, she gazed at her and said gently, “Jocelyn, you’re finally back. Did you know that Nolan came to look for you this morning?”
