Upon noticing Sebastian’s unhappy look, Jeremy hurriedly approached Jocelyn and yanked her arm to get her off the table. “Get down now! You’re embarrassing your entire family!”
When the man yanked her abruptly, she accidentally slipped and kneeled on the table. The next moment, she lifted her chin, only to meet her father’s angry eyes. “You just ruined your sister’s engagement ceremony! Are you satisfied now?!” Jeremy glared at his daughter with a darkened look and continued to reprimand her, yelling, “I don’t know what you did to win Old Mr. Davis’ favor, but you’re not Sebastian’s cup of tea, so get lost now!”
Upon hearing the man’s harsh words, Jocelyn suddenly felt a lump in her throat, doubting and questioning her miserable fate. Are you even my father?! Why is it my fault every time something bad happens? You didn’t bother defending me when Joanne bullied me previously, and now, you’re lecturing me in front of the crowd when I haven’t even done anything!
