Chapter 57 Leaving
- Sebastian used a cotton swab to dip into the ointment. Then, he squatted in front of Jocelyn before carefully rubbing the blisters on her hand with the swab. Nobody could imagine the level of anxiety he was hiding under his calm appearance. He only wished for Jocelyn to be safe forever, and he wanted to protect her for a lifetime and not let her get hurt.
- Sebastian’s movements were light because he was scared of hurting her. However, Jocelyn suddenly shrank her hand back, either from fear or pain, but Sebastian grabbed her hand and simply held it in his palm. Her cold fingers were wrapped in the warmth from the palm of his hand, which traveled to the depths of her heart. She didn’t dare to even breathe, and she felt her heart beating violently against her chest. Thud, thud, thud.
- "Does it hurt?" Sebastian carefully applied the ointment. "Leave those things to Matilda in the future."
