Chapter 457 Mood

• Nolan wasn’t sure why he was so fixated on wanting to know if Sebastian was aware that Jocelyn had come to him, but it was too late to backtrack on his question. Even though he regretted asking that question as soon as it rolled off his tongue, no amount of regret could erase what was already said.
• Therefore, he had no other option than to soldier through what was to come despite feeling regretful. Suppressing his emotions, he maintained a cool facade as he said, “Don’t misunderstand me. I’m just curious if Sebastian will fret over the fact that you came to me.” As he spoke, there was clearly a meaningful smile on his lips.
• Although Jocelyn wasn’t quite sure what he meant, she was certain that Sebastian wouldn’t be happy that she came to Nolan for help. After all, Nolan was the reason Sebastian was in such a predicament.
