Chapter 208 A Trip Down Memory Lane
- As Marilyn talked, her gentle smile looked like a bright crescent moon in the sky. She’s got quite a beautiful smile! At the sight of the lady’s graceful body language, Jackson’s mind was instantly filled with images of Mandy’s smiling face, as well as the memories that they both shared together. Absorbed in his thoughts, he chuckled and replied to her with a gentle voice, “Alright, let’s talk about my relationship, then.”
- Upon hearing Jackson’s suggestion, Marilyn paused in disbelief, feeling surprised that the man was about to tell her what she wanted to hear even without her having to ask. After all, she had only been giving subtle hints to Jackson to talk about his relationship with Mandy, which was a sensitive thing to ask of him. Did Jackson just read my mind? How did he know what’s on my mind? I can’t believe he is going to tell me what I’ve been wishing to know! Great! This saves me the trouble of cracking my head to think of something to talk about with Jackson! At the thought of that, Marilyn smiled and said, “Sure! Go on. I’m all ears.”
- Nodding in response, Jackson took a brief moment to build up his emotion before he began to talk about the story between him and Mandy. “We met each other one day in the beginning of autumn. It was a sunny day, and it seemed as if she was surrounded by a halo when the sunlight shone on her. In that instant, I was spellbound by her beauty as she took my breath away. I was completely inexperienced with relationships back then, and I’d never had a crush on anyone before. So, the moment I saw her, I fell in love with her at first sight and told myself that she was the one I wanted to spend the rest of my life with. Nevertheless, I was left heartbroken when I found out she had a boyfriend, yet I quickly realized I shouldn’t be surprised because a gorgeous lady like her would surely have a number of admirers. Therefore, I convinced myself to get over it and continued to stay by her side as a friend to make sure she remembered me.”
