Chapter 140 Identity
- “I’m serious, Mandy. Stop fooling around.” Hans shook his head exasperatedly. He had spoiled Mandy with everything she wanted since she was a child, but he simply wasn’t able to satisfy her requests right then. “You’re my baby sister. I’m not going to watch you getting hurt without doing anything about it. I don’t understand why you’re trying so hard to hold on to this relationship when it’s clear that Sebastian is no longer interested in you. Neither one of you is going to benefit from this.” Hans gave her his advice.
- “How could you favor an outsider instead of your sister, Hans? I dated Sebastian in the past, and we used to get along so well with each other. We only broke up because of you and the Eckharts!” Tears of fury trickled down Mandy’s cheeks as she spoke. Her chest ached as she wondered, Why can’t my brother be on my side this time?
- “You need to be honest with yourself, Mandy. Do you think your relationship with Sebastian could have lasted until today if the both of you didn’t break up because of the conflict between the Eckharts and the Davises in the past? Love isn’t like starting a business, Mandy; you can’t expect to succeed just with pure determination. He’s not well-suited for you, and he’s not someone you will want to spend the rest of your life with,” he replied.
