Chapter 54 Chapter Fifty-four

Ava turned a deaf ear to Dante's calls; her fury and disappointment kept her immersed in her own world of emotions. She entered the elevator, and just as the doors were about to close, Dante intervened quickly, placing his hands to stop them and joined her in the confined space. Dante surrounded Ava's body with his hands, pulling her towards his chest in an attempt at intimate contact and to ease the tension surrounding them.
"My love! It's not what you think."
Ava, in the midst of her rage, struggled to free herself from Dante's arms.
