Chapter 45 Chapter Forty-five

• Daphne woke up with a sharp pain in her ankle. As she leaned over, her eyes met a pair of crutches resting beside the bed. An unexpected question arose in her mind. "When did Benjamin enter my room? God! Why did it have to be him taking care of me?" Confusion mixed with a hint of sadness. She doubted whether she could bear being close to him and at the same time control her emotions. Furthermore, she couldn't understand why he was there if he had a girlfriend.
