Chapter 46 Chapter Forty-six

• Daphne snapped out of her thoughts and carefully got out of bed. She headed to the bathroom to freshen up. After meticulously brushing her teeth, she prepared to undress, which became a challenging and painful task, especially with the uncomfortable presence of the brace. Once she managed to free herself from her clothes, she cautiously stepped into the shower, trying not to wet her foot, allowing the water to run over her skin. After a few minutes, she wrapped herself in a towel and stepped out. She headed to the closet, rummaged through her wardrobe for a loose shirt and loose shorts, sat on the bed, and got dressed.
• She left the room holding a toothbrush and headed to the kitchen. Upon arrival, she was astonished to see Benjamin sitting on the counter with a laptop and a cup of coffee beside him. Her eyes widened at his audacity. Unable to believe it, she swallowed hard at the sight of the attractive shirtless man, wearing only cotton shorts that accentuated his perfect behind. Briefly, she thought to herself, "Oh God! This man is incredibly handsome, imposing, rugged all over, and those broad, defined pecs. I wonder what he's like in intimacy and in bed?" She scolded herself, "Daphne! What are you thinking? You can't let yourself be carried away by him." Unaware, she stared at him intently and bit her lower lip. She was snapped out of her reverie when she heard.
• "If you want, I can give you a tissue to wipe your drool," Benjamin quipped, flashing a playful smile.
