Chapter 21 Chapter Twenty-one
- Dafne woke up in a comfortable bed, stretched out in it, thinking about her glory days when she lived in a big house and lacked nothing, just focusing on her studies surrounded by a happy family. She whispered nostalgically, "I wish I could go back to those times when you could still protect us, Dad."
- Suddenly, the day when everything changed flashed in her mind. She shook her head from side to side to avoid thinking about it. She jumped out of bed and went to the bathroom. Afterwards, she left the room, went downstairs, and looked around the place. Seeing a huge kitchen, she walked towards it, murmuring to herself, "My mother would be happy here." She hugged herself to muster strength, glanced at every drawer, then opened the fridge.
- "It's obvious this man doesn't cook; he only has water, sodas, a few eggs, and Iberian ham," she said aloud.
