Chapter 47 Chapter Forty-seven

• Sofia was lying on the bed, sighing with relief because she had been able to talk to her friend. Ava promised her that she would talk to her brother and get her out of there. At that precise moment, the door opened, and Dexter entered the room. In his right hand, he held a tray of food, while in the other, he carried a laptop. He approached and placed the laptop and the tray on the table next to the bed. Then, he opened a drawer and took out a briefcase.
• "I brought you food, you haven't eaten anything today," he approached her and sat next to her, noticing how she tensed up— "Stay still, I'm just going to check your wound." He had a cold demeanor.
• "Are you a doctor or something?" Sofia blurted out disdainfully, narrowing her eyes— "It won't be necessary for you to do it. Ava is about to arrive, and a real doctor will check my wound."
