Chapter 7 Drops Of Blood
- Lawson stopped in front of the wooden door and breathed for patience from deep inside. He really couldn't take it anymore. From the beginning he thought he should just suck it up and ignore her, but it was too much now. He was a male wolf. He had a limit and that she-wolf was going too far. He waited, clenching his hard fists to the point where he felt his fingernails dig into his palms, and spat until the soldier guarding the commander's office let her pass.
- “I never imagined that of all people you would be the one to come to see me," and there was that hateful voice. Calm, unwavering, patient, without a hint of uneasiness and so cold it was freezing. Even a wolf in heat would be chilled if he were next to her.
- The recruit walked to stand near the bureau where the commander was reviewing other papers behind a mountain of documents. She didn't even raise her eyes to look at him. It was as if she was completely ignoring him even though he had spoken to her.
