Chapter 13 The Idiot In Trouble

• That night in the past Kenny had been more distant from her, colder, ruder than usual. He hadn't smiled all day and growled at her from time to time, even the kiss he had stolen from her had been rude and to some extent violent. It wasn't like Raven cared much. Her body was becoming less and less responsive to him, she was only forced to be his mate because he knew a little something about her that had her bound hand and foot. If it weren't for that she would run into her partner's arms without a second thought.
• He wasn't paying much attention to her recently and Raven even came to feel that Lawson's scent had become embedded in her, although she didn't feel that way. His girlfriend had her bipolar episodes and it was best to ignore them. Sometimes she wondered what she had liked about him to begin with, though she had to admit that it was no longer his face she saw in her dreams. Something she would keep until the day she was in her grave.
