  • The feeling of nervousness that had consumed me since the encounter with Michele Nicaso was making me tremble on the inside. I couldn't understand why Don Salvatore had invited Michele to come to Tuscany, and, even worse, why he seemed to take pleasure in the discomfort his presence caused. The Italian mafia was a game of intrigues, betrayals, and rivalries, and I felt lost amidst it all.
  • When I entered the mansion's room, I felt relieved to see it empty. The solitude of the place was almost comforting. I took a deep breath and tried to calm my turbulent thoughts. My mind returned to the meeting with Michele. The memory of his lips on mine was like a persistent echo in my head, and I knew I should keep my distance from him, no matter what Don Salvatore had decided.
  • However, I was abruptly pulled from my thoughts when Dante appeared, his face serious, and his eyes fixed on me. My heart instantly raced, and I wondered what the heck was happening. He didn't seem pleased at all, and his expression was that of someone carrying a heavy burden.
