Chapter 85 The Promise Ring

• Maxton had said he was on his way but it was an hour later and he still was not home. Belle was sad because she really wanted to be in his arms at the moment.
• She had laid on the bed still in the lingerie she had been wearing in the picture she sent him waiting for him and after a while, she later drifted off to sleep. She was so deeply asleep that she did not know when Maxton got home.
• Maxton felt bad when he walked into the room and saw Belle cuddled up on the bed. She looked so small and so lonely and even though not being with her was for a good cause, it still hurt him that he was not with her when she needed him.
