Chapter 12 The Aftermath

• As the chauffeur pulled out of the restaurant, she slumped into the chair and let the waterworks flow.
• The chauffeur asked for her address and she told him to drop her off at the boutique. She then remembered it would seem weird for her to be dropped off at a boutique not home so she added that she'd left some things there and needed to get them.
• She tried as much as possible to stifle the sound of her cries. It got nearly impossible to do that so she put her fist into her mouth.
