Chapter 65 Once Bitten, Twice Shy

• Belle knew how it felt to lose a parent as she had lost both. She wished she could tell him her story but that was not possible. She reached over and squeezed his hand in hers in an act of comfort.
• This was the first time in over two decades, that Maxton was talking to someone about his dad and it felt really good. When he felt Belle's hands on his, he looked at her and saw that she looked so sad. He didn’t want her to have that face. He wanted her to keep sharing her smile with the entire world.
• To lighten her mood, he said to her, "Hey, don’t worry about my father. He is gone but now I have you in my life so it's all good." His voice was playful and Belle gave a small laugh.
