Chapter 71 Dahlia, You’re So Nice
- I was rather busy; when I got off work, it was already one or two in the morning, then I drank until three or four, and I had to wake up to rush to the adjacent city at about eight. If I continued keeping up this schedule, my body definitely wouldn’t be able to take it. Earlier, I’d almost gone under the semi-trailer while on the highway, the fright making me break out in a cold sweat. After I’d resolved Hannah’s problem, I must take a good rest, for I didn’t dare continue at this pace. Fortunately, this matter should be resolved soon.
- When I arrived below Dahlia’s office, it was already past eleven in the morning, so she was about to go on her lunch break soon. While in the car, I gave Hannah a call, upon which she said that she’d done everything I asked her to do on the previous day. Thus, I quietly waited in the car. When Dahlia happily exited the building, I didn’t get out of the car to pick her up, merely waiting for her to get into the car with a smile. I then yawned after she’d climbed into the car.
- She looked at me with all the concern in the world. “What’s wrong? Why are your eyes bloodshot?”
