Chapter 194 Amber Dawson Elementary School

• In the pitch darkness, I managed to grope for my phone. Lighting up the screen, I then realized that I was still in the bedroom. When I turned on the flashlight function, a whole chunk of darkness dissipated, and I saw that Amber was still lying on the bed, sleeping. However, she was curled up, making it obvious that she was cold as well. Glancing at the heater next, I saw that the switch had gone dark. F*ck! I then gazed out the window, only to see that even the street lights had gone off. So, there’s a blackout in the entire area. D*mn it, I’m going to freeze to death!
• “What’s wrong?” Amber’s voice rang out. “Nothing much. It’s just a power outage since there’s a blackout in the entire area,” I answered. After I’d said that, I took off my clothes, leaving myself in just my briefs before slipping under the covers.
