Chapter 28 Angelina’s Allure
- I drove, while Angelina reclined in the passenger seat, speeding toward the nearby hospital. Along the way, she felt slightly better, so she asked me what had happened in the building earlier and I briefly told her about the incident.
- Angelina lit a cigarette and wound down the car window. “Weren’t you afraid that you’d beat up a client wrongly and bring me trouble if you’d beaten up someone wealthy, powerful, and prestigious?”
- Snatching the cigarette away from her, I placed it between my lips. “Of course, I was afraid, but he was obviously not it.”
