His original car was an SUV produced by Great Wall Motors, but he drove it to an automobile repair shop in the countryside and had them erase the engine number. He’d even scratched off the VIN etching on the car windows with a blade, removing everything that traced back to the owner of the vehicle, even changing the color of the car body, removing the undercoat itself and having it repainted to look like a sparkling, brand-new car. To guard against all eventualities, he even put a layer of anti-peep film within the interior of the car so that CCTV cameras wouldn’t be able to capture his image in the car, and no one could see a single thing from the outside of the entire car.
