• The scream from Emma's lips alerted Liam, who immediately jumped to his feet, running to the door, trying to open it, but realizing that Emma had locked it.
• "Emma!" he called out to her, but the only answer he received was a hysterical scream from the girl, who tried to stand up, only to fall down again, the strength of each one of her limbs had given a date of death; with her eyes reddened by tears, she looked in the mirror, looked at her stomach, feeling a strong pang in her chest knowing that there was a life in there, and that the father of that life had been none other than the man she had had to flee from, from an unbalanced man, from someone she had to stay away from, from someone she feared.
