Chapter 17

• He parked the car quickly near where Emma lived, the woman had looked restless all the way. Concern for her mother's health was evident in her pores, something Leonardo had noticed about Emma, was that she was a very empathetic person, she liked to take care of others, she cared about them. Without realizing it, Leonardo found himself thinking about whether she would care about him like that if the two of them came to something more. He took a deep breath at the intrusive thought, he had a lot of them lately.
• "We're here," he announced, as if she hadn't noticed.
• He immediately stopped the car, listened as Emma thanked him for bringing her and ran to where she lived without caring too much about the heavy rain.
