Chapter 64

• SECOND BOOK: PROLOGUE.
• It all felt so strange, so unequal to the reality she had lived during her short years of life.
• She had grown up and lived in the city where she had met Leonardo, and to leave so suddenly, while she had barely told her parents, felt very different from what she would have done, from what the old Emma would have done; the journey to the other state had been, not only long, but also annoying and tedious, or maybe it was the resistance her own body put up to stay in the place where she had been hurt, just because that was all she knew. The only thing that had managed to diminish a little her bad mood, had been Liam's occasional jokes, just him, just that, but, for her happiness, the trip was over, and with the blond she was walking towards her new destination, towards what she hoped would be a better life.
