Chapter 40

• Leonardo cursed so loudly in his head, that he thought they had both heard him, even though his lips for an instant had not opened.
• Emma hurriedly began to button up her shirt, closed her legs and gave a tremulous glance to the secretary standing in the doorway, watching the scene with discomfort.
• Leonardo took a deep breath, bit his lips so hard that he hurt himself, his furious gaze glared at the woman who had interrupted them; days before he had tried to do the same thing, but Emma had put up resistance, minutes before, she seemed completely willing to let herself be taken -or at least more willing than the previous time- and they were just interrupted.
