• Teegan felt safe enough to be around others, so she called Kat early and went to work with her. The safe feeling ended when she remembered how intense riding with Kat behind the wheel could be.
• When they stopped in the parking lot, she grinned and looked at her friend. “Nothing gets the blood pumping like a trip to work at break-neck speed.”
