Chapter 10
- As she walked into his office, she realized that being a board member meant you got more square footage to work in. Even though the room wasn’t decorated in an overstated way, the furnishings in it were of the top of the line quality. The couch, she was pretty sure would be real leather and not the vinyl material her own wore. Leland’s jacket and tie were carelessly tossed over the one end of it.
- He came in behind her and closed the door. “Please, have a seat.”
- Teegan debated for a few seconds on whether she wanted to sit on the sleek-looking couch or take one of the chairs near his desk. He went over and leaned on the front of his desk, helping her decide the chairs would probably be a much better choice. When he began rolling up the cuffs of his shirt she couldn’t help but notice the muscles on his arms and how they moved. His head was down, giving her the opportunity to really look at him without being seen. For a few seconds, she wished he’d just take the damn shirt off so she could see if she was right about the body underneath. Shaking her head to bring her back to work, she sat quickly in the chair furthest from where he stood. “I take it you read through my ideas?”
