- My stomach dropped as the men stepped forward, each brandishing a gun that gleamed under the dim lights. Time seemed to slow, just for a moment, and I couldn’t help but wonder what my dad was doing at that exact moment. What would he think when I didn’t come home tonight?
- A small scream escaped my lips as the back door to the club slammed open with a deafening bang, the metal door crashing against the brick wall. Magnus burst out of the club, his golden eyes scanning the alley with urgency.
