• I woke up the next morning with a whirlwind of emotions. The excitement about my mate’s appearance was overwhelming, but I couldn’t shake the confusion over why he hadn’t revealed himself. He had to be someone already in the mansion; it seemed impossible that anyone could have bypassed the hundreds of guards my father had stationed around the city center.
