• Caleb’s eyes grew. “The incident when he beat you. They made you out to be the villain in it?”
• “They said I asked for it. That I deserved it.”
• Caleb put his camera down and immediately walked over to her and pulled Harper into a huge hug. She let her face hid against his chest. Trying to hold back the tears. The memories of all the reports plastered everywhere. Every news outlet made her out to be the villain trying to put blame on a man that did nothing wrong. She almost died and no one cared. They all just said she deserved it. Some even said she should have just died. It was one of her lowest moments in her life. One that dragged her so far down that she nearly never came back up. And a big part almost gave up. Almost said it wasn’t worth trying. Wasn’t worth going on anymore.
