• Ethan had liked Harper from the moment he met her. Even though they had met in the worst way possible. Him finding being beaten. He still saw under all the bruises and cut a beautiful woman. She was frail and sweet and not at all what he later found out people called her, a cold hearted queen. He never saw that. With him she was always beautiful and sweet, she never had a temper or was ever cold towards him. He found extremely strong as well, she never once complained about pain or cried even when he saw getting her face hit. Even when doctors were pricking her with needles. Even when she was getting stitches. The women just stayed quiet and winched to it all, no crying nor wailing. It strength most men didn’t even have to do that.
• But Harper was different to him, from the moment he met he had never seen her show any interest in any man. Most didn’t get her attention let alone a response from her. He had seen man men hit on her and even ask her out and on a few occasions he had to hold back a laugh when she wouldn’t even look there way before walking away. He always thought she would eventually show some feelings towards him, there was always a small hope he had. But when Caleb came in to the picture he hope vanished. For the first time he saw Harper in a different way. She didn’t just ignore him she argued with him. Like there was a part of her that cared for the man.
• He also knew Harper would occasionally have a drink especially when she felt scared. But since Caleb she had been drinking way more. Just trying to deal with whatever feelings she had for him. He could tell Harper was holding out. Holding back. And he knew why. Morgan had told him everything when she had noticed he was watching her. Morgan could tell he liked Harper before anyone else could, and admitted to him there was only one man Harper had ever cared for and he broke her heart. Caleb Knight. Morgan seemed hopeful that Harper would find something with Ethan. But when Caleb came Morgan knew that wasn’t going to happen and Ethan knew it too.
