Chapter 25 In Her Place

• Callan's POV
• No matter what I witness Anne do to one of my pack members I still find myself holding her waist as she passes out. At first, I didn't know it was Anne until I heard her groan. Most people lost their lives with a force like that but I'm relieved she survived.
• I don't know what happened between them but I am about to put her in her place. She has no right over my subjects. No right to take their lives. Isaiah is lucky to be alive. I haul her off her feet into my arms and carried her away. Looking at her closed eyelids, I feel a bang of guilt for doing that to her. I have caused her harm twice now and it wasn't deliberate.
