• I can't stop the warmth that surges through me when she made that move _ thrusting a sword into my stomach. It's practically the most daring thing anyone has ever done since I became alpha and Annie just won my respect by seizing her moment to win. I like that she likes to win, against me actually.
• Thinking about it just makes me proud. Had she had this side to her ever since or was I blinded by rage and greed to notice it? Anne had always been too emotional, too soft, and clingy for someone like me. She sobs at any little thing I say hence the reason I stay away from her but her actions today, that move she made. Her duel with Savannah shocked me. I had expected defeat or surrender but she did it. She won within an hour.
