- Everything felt eerie, almost like something was going wrong in the palace. I woke up startled and unable to get back to sleep. The maids that came into my room seemed hasty to leave and it made me wonder if something bad had really happened. Isla opened the door the minute I got out of bed.
- “Why do you look sad?” I asked adjusting my heavy butt.
