• Fiona’s POV
• My body shook hard from the tears. I curled up into myself feeling pathetic as the waterworks soaked the bed. I almost could not recognize Ronan in those eyes. He seemed distant and scared. I know he is only showing concern, but the way he spoke just didn’t sit well with me. I feel unfairly treated after putting up with so much in the past few months.
• I was on the verge of telling it to his face that his wife might be among the people he was running from. But I could not say something that I would be subjected to explaining later.
