Chapter 16

• Fiona’s POV
• I sighed heavily for the umpteenth time. My mind has been in extreme turmoil since I discovered that I am pregnant. What bothers me the most is the Alpha King’s unresponsiveness towards me. I do understand I am a peasant, but I saved his life. He should be able to give me that regard. However, I know my reasons are more selfish than that.
• The situation I am in at the moment has devolved me from any sleep. I stay awake all night just brooding. I shouldn’t have to go through all of this. Not after everything that has happened to me in the past few weeks. Tears stung the back of my eyes and I wiped them off quickly when I heard some rustling by the door.
