• Confusion engulfed her as she stood there, contemplating her next move. The words on the screen had struck a chord deep within her, leaving her unsure of how to proceed. There was this sudden shock she got which made her heartbeat hit differently, more like her fear consumed her.
• Meanwhile, across the bustling hotel, nestled in a quiet corner, Brandon found himself engrossed in a heated phone conversation. The voice on the other end belonged to Ethan, one of his colleagues, but their conversation wasn't a calm one. Brandon's voice was aggressive and intimidating, refusing anything Ethan said to him.
• Brandon vehemently disagreed with Ethan's suggestion regarding Alice. He couldn't fathom why Ethan would insist on bringing her after all there are other girls out there that can replace Alice. All Ethan could do is go out there and get any girl of his choice. Despite the disagreement, Brandon's intentions towards Alice were anything but malicious. The reason he had invited her was to help her for the job and he was willing to do so.
