Chapter 36 The Eight Day

• 8th day with Damon…
• The next morning, Alice's ringing phone woke her from sleep. She looked at the screen and saw who the caller was. Not wanting to wake her little sister or her boss, Damon, who was sound asleep beside her. She finally got up, carefully, so as not to make any noise and walked towards the mini kitchen to answer the phone.
• Alice spoke with Mark for a while, and it was evident by the tone of their conversation that they were very close. They talked and laughed. At some point, Alice's eyes wandered back to the room, and she saw that Damon was awake and was looking at her in the way she couldn't understand.
