Chapter 22 He Slept Over

• The faint sound of crickets chirping in the distance, Alice had just finished making dinner and was looking forward to enjoying her meal. She was ready to relax and unwind when suddenly, there was a cease of light, causing darkness on every side of her house.
• In the next second, Alice set the table and lit some candles on every corner of her house, creating a warm and cozy atmosphere in her small apartment. She placed some of the candles in the sitting room as well so her boss won't get mad when he wakes and sees that she kept him in the dark.
• She had made her favorite dish, spaghetti with homemade tomato sauce and a side salad. The aroma of the food filled the air, making her stomach growl in anticipation.
