Chapter 39 Alice's First Kiss

• Alice woke up to the sound of her alarm clock buzzing on her bedside table. She groggily reached out to turn it off, then sat up and stretched her arms. It was 6:30 in the morning, and she had to get ready for work. She glanced over at her best friend, who was still fast asleep. Alice didn't want to wake her up, so she quietly got out of bed and tiptoed to the bathroom.
• As she brushed her teeth and washed her face, Alice's mind started racing with thoughts of the day ahead. Even though her boss, Damon, had asked her to bring her sister, Alice wasn't sure if it was a good idea. Her sister could be a handful sometimes, and Alice didn't want to distract Damon or make a bad impression. She also didn't want to inconvenience him just as she did the last time she was at his place with her sister.
