Chapter 27 Consummation

• EZRA'S P.O.V
• I hadn't been really social with Tegan most of the night, it was hard holding in my anger at all the staring from all the other men. I wanted to rip their skin from their faces from looking at what was mine. Instead, I used my eyes to show I would fuck them up if they even tried. That was until Liam walked over. He didn't care that I was staring daggers at him. He had lust in his eyes as he stared Tegan up and down. He desired her, which heated me more than anyone else did. Luckily, the DJ called last call, allowing me to break away from having to be near him. I was close to losing my cool with him checking her out. He had a girl at his side yet still wouldn't stop eyeing what was mine. I doubt Tegan even noticed. She was busy looking at where my hands were. But I noticed. We were frenemies. You know, keep your friends close but your enemies closer. It was like that. I didn't trust him, he was a liar and a terrible person, but he was an ally, one we didn't need to lose, at least not yet.
• I soon was able to whisk Tegan away. She always looked beautiful but tonight she shined like the diamond she was. She made everyone else in the room look like rocks, not a single person compared. And the best thing, she was all mine.
