Chapter 146 Wake Up!

- We were basically speed walking down the pathway to get to the gateway as fast as we could. The entire walk there all I could think about was how I had hoped Lucy managed to keep the demons at bay. I was also still trying to think of a good enough reason to give Tegan as to why I killed her step-family, but in reality I didn't have one other than betrayal to the throne. Which, in any other case, was a sufficient reason to warrant death. She didn't seem to be upset by their departure, but it still made me question if she was okay with what I had done. I did act on impulse. I can't say that I regret my decision because they would always be a threat to her as long as they were alive. I also couldn't stand by and continuously allow them to treat my Queen, their Queen, like dirt on the bottom of their shoes as they walked all over her. I gave them more warnings than they deserved. Who was I if I didn't act on my word? I didn't want the image of the King and Queen to be altered in other peoples' perspectives because of their countless disrespect against the throne.
